Verdict : * [Very Poor]

‘The Exorcist’ is still considered to be the most iconic spooky film till date and it’s basic plot has been recycled so many time for the bad and few for good. Biggest problem with Modern Horror films are that they have stopped trying to scare you and in particular Bollywood films, they are just lame. This week release and the most anticipated ‘Ragini MMS 2’ comes under the same list.

The film commences where the prequel end. Ragini [Played by Kainaz Motivala] is surviving in the mental Hospital and is still being haunted by the spirit. Meanwhile A lusty director Rockz [Played by Parvin Dabbas] is making a film on the MMS and have decided to shoot the film in the real location where the paranormal activity had taken an ugly turn. Adult star Sunny Leone [playing herself] is cast as Ragini and all the other actors are shifted to the real location which doesn’t serve anything better instead repeats the history all over again.

Director Bhushaan Patel [from the hall of shame ‘1920: Evil Returns] heavily borrows plot from Blair Witch, Jennifer’s Body and even majorly lifts scenes from James Wan’s Classically structured ‘The Conjuring’. There is nothing novel you can expect and not to forget, It’s a Horrex [Combination of Horror and Sex] as a result, In between the door creaking and Spirit possession, you get to see Leone indulging in kiss and revealing her bare back and breast, Director spends his time focusing the lens on Sunny’s curve and sensuality . Unlike the prequel which delivered ample and equal amount of intimacy and genuine spookiness, The sequel fails in all department. The scary scenes are unintentionally hilarious, Special Effects are Klutzy and the outcome is laugh out loud.

Performances are, heaven help us, so embarrassing and indeed disappointing to see gifted actors like Parvin Dabbas, Sandhya Mridul hamming like lusty director and Rakhi Sawant Wannabe respectively. Divya Dutta tries to channelize the vulnerability of Lorraine Warren but alas reaches nowhere, It’s a shame she is saddled with such badly written role.

In the end, Ragini MMS 2 is held by Sunny Leone, I have to admit that she has an irresistible scorching and desirable screen presence and she is expectedly uninhibited in the intimate scenes but as an actor she has little to offer. The Climax is something no Horror fans like myself would ever forgive the makers.

One star is just for the exotic and peppy songs, The only bright spot of this colossal disappointing outing. Watch it at your own risk !
